Anna Posey is the pastry chef and illustrator behind Elske restaurant in Chicago, which she owns with her husband David Posey. Anna came to pastry with a degree in the arts, having studied painting and drawing at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Borrowing its name from the Danish word “love”, Elske channels an evolving philosophy centered on simplistic fare, seasonal ingredients and energetic hospitality. Together Anna and David combine contemporary and classic techniques while showcasing local and seasonal ingredients. Anna is the proud 2018 recipient of the Jean Banchet Award for “Best Pastry Chef”and a 2018 and 2019 finalist for the James Beard Award for “Best Chefs Great Lakes.”
