This will be my 26th year as a CPS (Chicago Public School) teacher! I have 3 beautiful girls and a dog Emmie. My husband and I like to travel and spend time together with our girls. We enjoy gardening around our home.
I have taught grades K-8th. I currently teach 1st grade at John M. Smyth. I enjoy learning and teaching about food and nutrition education. I teach students to recognize how a healthy diet influences emotional well-being and how emotions may influence eating habits. I incorporate these habits into my teaching every year. I also create a calm space with yoga time for students to reflect. I am excited to be part of Pilot Light to enhance the learning for my students and learn from others.
