Allison Zaccardi – 9th-12th Grade Family Consumer Science at Harding High School – St. Paul, MN
Allison has taught Family and Consumer Science (FCS) for almost 20 years in St Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Family Social Science and a Master’s of Education in Family Education. She believes teaching the skills needed for living as an informed and healthy adult is fulfilling and ever-evolving.
She teaches Culinary Arts, and this coming school year she will be adding a Food Systems course. Helping students to develop cooking skills, learn about the food they choose, how our food choices affect our health, society, the environment, impact politics, and represent cultures is challenging and eye-opening.
