Pilot Light is thrilled to share that we have been awarded a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm to School program. The grant will leverage our experience in food education lesson development, our partnerships, and our Food Education Center to deliver agricultural education to students across the country in an engaging way. Through curriculum and videos, we will connect students with food, build on food-related competencies, and help expand access to fresh, local foods and hands-on agricultural learning for children. This is Pilot Light’s second Farm to School grant, and we are one of only four Illinois-based organizations to receive a grant this year.
