Favorite Food Education Standard: FES #1: Food connects us to each other and #2: Foods have sources and origins.
The first two resonant with me the most. Food is the center of all gatherings. Food is what brings us to the table to discuss our day. Food has amazing origins and its fun to learn why it is from certain areas and what we can learn from it
A Favorite Food Memory or Recipe:
My favorite memory is attending The Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland. This school is a true ‘farm to table’ school and gave my foundation of knowledge and instilled the passion that I have for the industry.
What I’m Most Excited About as a New Fellow:
I am excited to learn from the other Fellows and learn what I can teach my students about food connections , sources and origins.
