Favorite Food Education Standard:
#7 – We can advocate for food choices and changes that impact ourselves, our communities, and our world. This resonates the most with me because the catalyst to a better life is a healthy life and that starts with what we put into our bodies. A healthy food choice impacts our moods, feelings and leads to a better expression of ourselves and the cultures we represent.
A Favorite Food Memory or Recipe:
Favorite food memory is the first kale wrap I ever had. It was a nutritious and self sustainable meal that was grown in my community.
What I’m Most Excited About as a New Fellow:
The Food Education Fellowship will be a gateway to healing my community through positive youth experiences through food and education.
