Jessica Wood – 3rd Grade Math & Science at Bronzeville Classical Elementary School
Jessica Wood is a third-grade math and science teacher at Bronzeville Classical School in Chicago Public Schools. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, she graduated from the University of Michigan’s School of Education with a degree in Elementary Education in 2014. Upon graduation, Jessica moved to Chicago where she worked teaching fourth grade, then first grade, at a lovely neighborhood school in Chicago’s Hermosa neighborhood. She is in her second year of teaching at BCS and has been lucky enough to loop with her students this year, meaning she taught them in second grade, then moved with them to third this year! When Jessica not teaching her hard-working, hilarious students, or having the best time ever with her amazing colleagues, she enjoys traveling and cooking meals with her fiance, swimming, and reading.
