Roya Lede’ – PK-5th Grade STEM at Villa Del Rey Creative Sciences and Arts Magnet School – Baton Rouge, LA
Roya Lede’ is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in General Business with a Minor in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University in 2014. She received her alternative teaching certification from Louisiana Resource Center for Educators in Early Childhood (PK-3) in 2016. Following this, she graduated with a Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum & Instruction: Early Childhood Education in 2019 from Louisiana State University. Additionally, in August 2021, she completed an English as a Second Language Add-On certification from Louisiana State University. Roya is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, K-12 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Roya has taught kindergarten in a Title I public school for the past 6 years. She is currently a co-leader of both the Building Bridges Committee and Restorative Practice Committee to support family engagement and student success for the entirety of the school’s campus in which she currently teaches. Roya’s teaching is inspired by the saying, “A good teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart.” She prides herself on not only educating her students, but empowering them to be strong members of society.
