We’re continuing to highlight the incredible folx who support Pilot Light with their time and energy on our all our boards: Board of Directors, Advisory, Development, and Young Professional. We are so grateful for their dedication and passion for food education day in and day out!
Featured today on our Feeding Minds Blog is a member of Pilot Light’s Board of Directors Frank Mahoney. Frank has played a key role in our organizational growth.
As the son of a school food service professional and the husband of an educator, Frank strongly connected with Pilot Light’s mission to bridge the lessons students learn in their classrooms to the foods on their lunch trays, at home, and in their communities. He joined our Board in 2016 and has served as our Treasurer since that time. In addition to his Board service, Frank has advised Pilot Light’s Development Team and volunteered at our annual Gala. In total, he has logged more than 300 hours of volunteer service to our organization!
In support of food and nutrition education for youth and in recognition of his efforts, Frank’s employer, Morgan Stanley, has awarded Pilot Light 7 VIP grants totaling $8,000. Thank you, Morgan Stanley Foundation, and thank you, Frank, for your commitment to Pilot Light and your enthusiasm for our mission.
