Do you work for a company that matches charitable donations?

If so, it’s easy to magnify the impact of your generosity.

Many companies offer to match gifts to nonprofit organizations made by their employees. Most corporations award a 1:1 match, while some elect to provide a greater matching amount to further promote their employees’ philanthropy. Companies will typically match a gift up to a year after it’s made, so even if you made a gift many months ago, it’s not too late to magnify its impact. And if you are married, your spouse’s company may also be willing to match funds for donation as well, further increasing the value of your donation!

Contact your personnel office or human resources

Ask for a matching gift form or to just let them know that you have made a charitable gift. Not sure if your company matches charitable contributions?

Complete form or online request

If your company uses a printed form, complete the appropriate section(s) and then send it to Pilot Light via email or mail (see instructions below). If your company has an online application, email the link and access instructions, if any, along with donation details to Pilot Light.
