I have a background in food starting with its one of my favorite things to do….cook and eat. I have a degree in hotel restaurant and have helped open restaurants, butchered, baked, sold home baked goods to major stores, cooked in a major airline kitchen, run a catering business.
I volunteer with Pilot Light as i am retired and have time to help out others. I delight in working with the children to connect food with their lives. To introduce new foods and discuss and taste these foods. The children are at an age where food is exciting and participating with its preparation and sharing this with others is very rewarding.
My favorite meal is spaghetti and meatballs as it was the first meal i learned to prepare and share regularly with my family.
