Kate is a current student in the Masters of Public Health Program at University of Illinois at Chicago. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Appalachian State University and has experience working in hospitals, community education programs, food banks, and community gardens. Through these experiences, she developed a passion for understanding barriers to healthy eating and working towards establishing solutions to overcome cultural, geographic, and economic factors that impact overall health and well-being. She is excited to intern with Pilot Light and work on planning and evaluation projects.
