As a rising fourth year at the University of Chicago, Christina is simultaneously pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Human Development and a master’s degree in the Social Sciences, with a focus in Anthropology. At UChicago, she plays on the varsity softball team and leads two clubs on campus. Previously, Christina has worked with the Thirty Million Words Center conducting behavioral research, and she has volunteered with the Red Lotus Foundation, based in Vietnam, where she cared for disabled children and taught English. During the school year, she volunteers with the Hyde Park Immigration Project where she assists with a computer literacy course, and she works with the Community Programs Accelerator as a nonprofit consultant.
Christina was drawn to Pilot Light because she believes in the power of food to bring people and communities together, and she recognizes the growing need for food education to be taught nationwide. With her interest in nonprofit management, Christina is particularly excited for this internship and is thrilled to serve on the Pilot Light team.
